Ranthambore National Park is located in Rajasthan state about 14 kilometers from the city of Sawai Madhopur located very close to Aravali and Vindhya hill range of Rajasthan. 

This park is having very friendly tigers of India, The park covers an area of approximately 410 square km. Ranthambore National Park is dotted with some of the oldest structure that takes you back in the old years, especially running in the hot scorching heat of the summer months, there are water bodies which provides great relief to the wild animals... 

There is a big old fort situated in the park and the name of this park "Ranthambore National Park" is named after this fort.


Ranthambore National Park was also known as Sawai Madhopur sanctuary in the year 1975 by the govt of India. It was also declared as one of the project tiger reserves in India but it was in the year 1980 that Ranthambore was declared as Ranthambore National Park.
